KP leaders,  APMCC activists organise massive protest demonstration at Delhi

The All Parties Migrants Coordination Committee (APMCC) Delhi unit today organised a massive protest demonstration at Jantar Mantar to press the central and state government to initiate dialogue with team APMCC at Porbandar over its 6-point charter of demands for which Vinod Pandit is on Fast unto Death since January 30 at Sudhama chowk Porbandar, Gujarat.


Various leaders of different organisations alongwith APMCC activists of Delhi unit held a candle light protest at Jantar Mantar and later marched towards Parliament House raising slogans against the central and state government for its callous attitude towards Kashmiri Pandits by adopting criminal silence even as Vinod Pandit’s hunger strike entered into 9th day losing 8 kgs of weight till now.

The protestors include ladies and senior leaders of the community viz Moti Koul, Presidnet AIKS, Rakesh Koul President KSD, Sanjay Saraf, Youth President national Lok Janshakti Party, Susheel Pandit, veteran social activist, Himalaya Sumbly of Panun Kashmir besides Ravinder Badam, Ravinder Pandita, Amit Raina, Kamal Rigu, Sudesh Safaya, Ravi Rigu, Amit Raina and others from APMCC.

The protesters were however stopped by the police near Parliament street and prevented from marching towards 7-Race Course to lodge their strong protest against criminal silence adopted by UPA government and Omar Abdullah government by not initiating dialogue with team APMCC at Porbandar.

The protesters threatened more protests and warned of serious consequences if the government does not initiate immediate dialogue with team APMCC regarding its 6-point charter of demands.

The demands according to the statement include:

1. Dialogue with Pakistan for facilitating visit to Shardha Peeth Temple in POK

2. Establishment of Shardha Peeth University in J&K

3. Probe into the multi-crore temple/shrines land encroachment in Kashmir

4. Passing of the pending Kashmir Temples and Shrines Bill in J&K Legislative Assembly

5. One time compensation for over-aged Migrant Kashmiri Hindu youth

6. Special employment package for Non-Migrant Hindus of Kashmir Valley
